Context
A competition proposal informed by Icelandic geology, mythology, and the spatial drama of a volcanic landscape. The design uses an elevated tower and cave condition to create a destination between terrain, shelter, and outlook.
My Role
- Led all 3D modeling in Rhino 3D for a team of 3
- Produced all final competition renderings in V-Ray
- Completed post-production in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Created final competition documents in InDesign
- Co-led site research into Icelandic geology, mythology, and culture
Process
Site + Cultural Research
Investigated Icelandic geology, Norse mythology, climate, and the cave landscape.
3D Modeling
Developed the full tower, terrain, and spatial sequence in Rhino 3D.
Rendering + Post-Production
Rendered the visual narrative in V-Ray and completed final compositing in Adobe tools.
Competition Document Assembly
Organized the final visual and written competition submission in InDesign.
Outcome + Impact
Completed an internationally focused architecture competition proposal that connected site research, form-making, and visual storytelling.
